Local calculations

Calculator values are processed in your browser. The site does not submit income, rent, debts, vehicle values, exact trip details, or appliance inputs to a server. There are no user accounts or server-side saved calculations.

Loading the site and reference files still makes ordinary network requests. A hosting provider may process request information such as IP address, browser information, and requested URL. That is different from sending calculator values.

Saved scenarios and preferences

Saving a scenario stores its name, inputs, source-quality selections, and time on this browser through localStorage. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to view it. Local data is not synchronized between devices.

Recent calculations record only which tools you used, without automatically saving their financial values. Remembering gas price, work weeks, electricity rate, or utilities is optional. You can clear all calculator data below.

Copying, printing, and reports

Copied summaries and printed results include the values you choose to use. Sharing those outputs makes that information available to their recipients. The site does not encode financial values in share URLs.

Contact links open your email app. Messages you choose to send are handled by your email provider and the operator’s Gmail inbox. Your email address, message and any attachments are then available to the operator for handling the report. Do not send sensitive calculator inputs or private documents. Calculator summaries can be copied to your clipboard; your browser may request clipboard permission.

Analytics, advertising, and cookies

Open Cookie settings in the footer to review your choices at any time. Browser storage remembers your choice and keeps saved scenarios, recent tools, and preferences on this device until you clear them. These local storage entries are not cookies and are not sent with web requests. Clearing calculator data below does not reset your cookie choice; clearing this site's browser data resets both.

Calculator inputs and saved scenario names stay in your browser and are not shared with analytics providers. Reference rates are served from a bundled site file, without an EIA request from your browser. Ordinary hosting requests are described above; saved scenarios and preferences use this browser's local storage.

Optional analytics requires your permission before it can load. Any analytics or advertising service that collects data must be described here, including the provider, information collected, cookies used, and available privacy choices. Calculator use does not require analytics consent or application authentication cookies.
