INDEPENDENCE & TRANSPARENCY

Tools you can use your way.

Accessibility approach, keyboard controls, and issue reporting.

Designing for access

The interface uses semantic headings and landmarks, visible labels, keyboard-operable controls, focus indicators, and text explanations alongside numerical results. Layouts adapt to narrow screens, and motion is reduced when that preference is set in your browser or operating system.

WCAG 2.2 AA is the design target. Automated checks and manual browser reviews help identify problems; they do not establish that every assistive-technology combination has been tested.

Keyboard and results

Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move through controls. Enter or Space opens an expandable section. Select controls support arrow keys and Enter. Calculations update when you submit, so focus is not taken away while typing. On narrow screens, submission moves focus to the result.

A skip link before the header moves to the main content. Result tables include textual headers. Saved scenarios can be loaded or compared without a mouse.

Report a barrier

The Contact page currently shows a demo form and cannot deliver reports yet. When contacting the operator through an existing channel, describe what is difficult to use. Include the page, browser, assistive technology if relevant, and the task you could not complete. Avoid including sensitive calculator inputs.
